A Few More Books

Last time, I told you I would write about a few other books I was reading that were not necessarily for sixth grade students. One of those books was Hidden Treasures by Leigh Keno and Leslie Keno, the brothers featured on Antiques Roadshow. I don't normally read this kind of book, but I love seeing the Keno brothers when they are on the show or in their new show Buried Treasure. The Keno brothers show such passion when talking about antique furniture. Hidden Treasures is a book they wrote a number of years ago and which I bought on the discount table over a year ago. This book showed the many treasures that were found in such areas as barns, attics, and small shops in Europe, all worth hundreds of thousands of dollars....some even sold for over a million dollars! I so enjoyed reading this book.

A new author I started reading this summer is Cassandra Clare. Her books are for older, more mature young adult readers. Cassandra is writing two intertwining series. One is The Mortal Instruments. The other is Infernal Devices. I have been reading all of the books in The Mortal Instruments series. I love her style of writing and can't wait for the next book in the series.
